A long time classic Wildwood favorite right on the boardwalk at Magnolia Avenue. Groff's Restaurant has been providing great food to the Wildwoods since 1925. An old postcard of Groff's depicts a somewhat typical summer dinner night with a line of people all the way down the block waiting to get in.
Morton's featured an Art Deco-style exterior, with clean geometric lines and stainless steel elements (signage and borders). Most likely built in the late 30s/early 40s, it was a precursor of sorts to the full-blown 'Doo Wop' trends that would emerge in the following decades.
The Shamrock Cafe is an Irish pub in the heart of downtown Wildwood. It actually predates the Doo Wop era of the Wildwoods, but has been redone in the Doo Wop era to include large green neon signs and a large green neon shamrock over the entrance.
