Blue Palms Motel

The Blue Palms motel was formerly the Midtown Motel. It was purchased by the Morey's and renovated in a Neo Doo Wop style. As its name suggests, the plastic palms scattered all over the motel are actually blue!

Royal Canadian Resort Motel

The opening for the 2001 season debuted a Doo Wop style exterior make over for the Royal Canadian Motel. Such a Doo Wop inspired transformation was not as common in 2001 as it would become, and the Royal Canadian's Doo Wop makeover probably inspired other buildings to do the same in later years.

Starlux Hotel

The Starlux opened in the Spring of 2000, but was actually a renovation of the Wingate Motel (1953). Philadephia architect Richard Stokes was commissioned by the Morey Organization to head the transformation process. From their website, "Step into the StarLux and be swept away to another era - when Doo Wop ruled and life was simpler."

The Waypoint is one of several prosposed 25-story highrise 'condotel' structures that, if built, promise to change the landscape of the Wildwoods dramatically. Others include the Nouveau Wave Hotel and the Starlight Resort Hotel .
